Practice areas scoped before they are priced

LawLife Law Corporation offers legal services from Cecil Street chambers: corporate advisory, commercial contract work, dispute resolution, wills and probate, employment advisory and retainer consultation. Every engagement follows a conflict check and a letter of engagement. Fee figures below are indicative estimates in Singapore dollars (S$) only — not quotes, not packages, not subscriptions.

Website content is general information, not legal advice. No solicitor–client relationship forms until conflict checks and a signed engagement letter. Outcomes depend on facts and Singapore law. We do not guarantee results. Fees are estimates that move with scope of work.

01

Corporate & commercial advisory

When a shareholders' agreement looked standard until a drag-along clause bit years later, the fix was not more adjectives — it was corporate advisory that mapped control, exit and consent under Singapore law. We advise directors and founders on corporate structure, board process, investment documents and commercial arrangements. Due diligence sits beside strategy: what the papers say, what they omit, and what a later dispute would seize on. Work proceeds only after a conflict check and a letter of engagement with a clear scope of work and confidentiality terms.

Indicative fee estimate: from S$2,800 for a focused advisory memo · fuller transactions scoped separately

Contract drafting & review

Contract drafting is where drafting precision earns its keep. We draft and review commercial contracts — supply, services, distribution, NDAs, collaboration terms — with attention to renewals that auto-extend, liability caps that evaporate, and payment language that only fails under stress. A review can be a redline pass or a rebuild. Either way, you receive considered counsel on risk trade-offs, not a stamp that says “looks fine”. Litigation support later is harder when the quiet clause was never discussed at signing.

Indicative fee estimate: from S$1,600 for a single-contract review · drafting from S$2,200 depending on length

Dispute resolution & litigation support

Dispute resolution at LawLife starts with the paper trail, not with volume. We support negotiation, mediation and litigation support where jurisdiction and Singapore law allow a coherent path. We read correspondence carefully, test leverage honestly, and keep the retainer arrangement aligned with what the matter can actually bear. We do not promise wins. We do not farm claims. We do not sell “maximum payout” theatre. If a dispute should settle once the documents are understood, we will say so early.

Indicative fee estimate: from S$3,500 for an initial dispute assessment · contested matters billed to scoped stages

Wills, probate & estate matters

Wills and probate work is for families and individuals whose circumstances changed — remarriage, a new property, a business interest that never made it into the last will. We draft wills, advise on estate planning choices under Singapore law, and support probate applications with the same conflict-check discipline as commercial files. Conveyancing interfaces sometimes appear when an estate holds property; we coordinate scope so fees stay readable. Nothing here is a guarantee about how an estate will distribute.

Indicative fee estimate: wills from S$800 · probate support scoped after document review

Employment & workplace advisory

Employment advisory often begins with a hiring letter that promised a bonus the company never meant to guarantee. We advise employers and, where conflict rules allow, individuals on offer letters, handbooks, restructuring communications and exit terms. Regulatory compliance questions around workplace policies are handled as advisory under engagement — not as a compliance badge product. Client care includes confidentiality around sensitive personnel facts and a clear note on what we will and will not put in writing before the letter of engagement is signed.

Private consultation & retainer enquiries

Some clients want chambers hospitality on a retainer: a practitioner who already knows the company story when the next commercial contract or dispute arrives. Private consultation and retainer arrangements are scoped monthly or quarterly, with a defined scope of work, response expectations and fee estimate up front. This is still a law practice relationship under Singapore law — not a legal-tech inbox, not a course tutor, not an on-demand chat product. Appointment times are Mon–Fri 09:00–18:00 SGT at our Downtown Core address, or by arranged call.

Indicative fee estimate: consultation from S$450 · retainers from S$2,500 per month depending on scope
